What happens when you get 25 or 30 moms together for an evening of friendship and well...let's just say it...adult conversation??? A LOT of stuff we promised not to ever mention outside of the first ever Moms of Central Meeting!
From the beginning of the night we knew we were in for a treat. The best ever finger foods were there....from desserts (all homemade of course) to pizza...that might have come from a dominoes box...but we knew Angie made it from scratch....to cherrios and candy corn- either it was all super good...or we were just so hungry we didn't care. Either way- we enjoyed it!
We played the purse game-a variation I had never experienced before! Tons of fun. There were door prizes from our host, Felicia and jewelry maker Rebecca Alexander.
Felicia gave us a run down about how important prayer is for ourselves, our families and our church. She showed us a really great prayer journal and Sonya also talked about how she had used hers for their foster home ministry. I'm going to for sure try their journal idea.
We finished up by answering some pretty funny questions. Here's mine...I'll let you guess the answer.
Our first meeting was such a success. We are excited about what God is going to be doing in our midst and thankful for the time to get away and grow closer to each other and Christ.

I love this idea! Can't wait for you to share the prayer journaling idea with all of us. Chocolate party, you know this one is going to be amazing and blessed event.

Sounds like fun--I love the prayer journal. (I always love a reason to buy a new notebook) but it seriously sounds like a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
